Dr. Rev.David Bittinger

   Our Pastor, along with his wife Liz and their 3 children, came to Kent 25 years ago with a vision to heal and serve the people of Kent, and his leadership, in the congregation, the city, and the denomination, has won him the love and admiration of all. 

    Born in nearby Akron, David met his wife at Evangel College in Missouri, where they earned undergraduate degrees. He came back to Akron, and worked as an inner-city school teacher, but received a call on his life to serve in a different way. After completing graduate work at Ashland College in Ohio, he came back to take the pastorate of the small congregation in Kent.

    'Pastor Dave' excells at  teaching and shepherding a congregaton mixed between university students and families. He has made strong ties with the local community and schools and eventually became the 'pastor of pastors' over the Akron District of the Assemblies of God.   

   Most recently, Pastor Dave has completed his Doctoral Dissertation through the Assemblies Of God Theological Semiary graduated with a Doctorate in Ministry in May 2007.

Who We Are?

Christian Life Center Assembly of God

CLC is a growing Spirit-Filled, Christian congregation that  has a long history of serving the people of Kent, Ohio.

We hold services on Sunday mornings, and Wednesday evenings; Tuesday evening Prayer Service, plus Small Groups  throughout the week in various locations.

We reach out in practical ways through our 'His Hands Extended' benevolence ministriy; visit people in the hospitals, jails, and nursing homes; and reach out to Kent State University students as their family away from home.
